How long do I have to buy wristbands online?
Wristbands are on sale online until 10 PM on Friday 3rd November.
I’ve ordered my wristbands online, got my PayPal order confirmation and the money has left my account… What happens next?
If you ordered your wristbands online before midnight Sunday 29th October, then our volunteers from Winchester Ladies Circle will package your order up for you and send them to you in the post!
I’ve ordered my wristbands online but didn’t get a PayPal order confirmation. What should I do?
Please check your spam folder for our notification emails first as they sometimes get placed there. If you still haven’t received your PayPal order confirmation, then please email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out the status of your order.
I ordered my wristbands over a week ago and paid postage and packaging but they haven’t arrived yet?
If you do not received your order within five working days, then please email email@example.com to find out the status of your order.
I ordered my wristbands online after midnight Sunday 29th October, where do I collect them?
All orders placed online after from Monday 30th October need to be collected in person from our ticket booth at Abbey Gardens (the park by King Alfred’s Statue on The Broadway) on Saturday 4th November 2017 between 10am and 6pm with a copy of your PayPal receipt (printed or displayed on your phone/tablet).
It’s the day of the event and the wristbands I ordered online before midnight Sunday 29th October still haven’t arrived yet. What do I do?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out the status of your order. If they have been lost in the post then we will do our best to arrange for replacement wristbands to be available for your collection in person from our ticket booth at Abbey Gardens (subject to availability).
I’ve ordered too many wristbands. How do I cancel them?
Please email email@example.com to inform us of a cancellation. If your wristbands have already been sent out to you, you will need to send them back to us and it will take additional admin time for us to process these requests. You may prefer to view the refundable amount as a charitable donation and then gift the surplus wristbands to your friends or family!
My wristbands were damaged in the post. How can I get a replacement?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to inform us of any damages. If you notify us before midnight Sunday 29th October, we will send replacements out to you (subject to availability). If you notify us after Monday 30th October, we will do our best to arrange for replacement wristbands to be available for your collection in person from our ticket booth at Abbey Gardens (subject to availability).
Do I need to purchase a wristband for my baby or child?
Due to headcount and safety regulations, everyone other than ‘babes in arms’ (those being physically carried) will require a wristband. All children and babies in prams will require a ticket to gain access to the site (there are no child wristband). These terms are applicable to Premium Tickets as well.
I don’t want to buy my ticket/wristband online. Where can I buy them in person?
Tickets can be bought from Monday 2nd October to Friday 3rd November from the following venues in Winchester; Winchester Tourist Information, Winchester Discovery Centre, Jeremy France Jewellers (High Street), Gieves & Hawkes (The Square), Mucky Duck (Hyde Street), Headcase Barbers (City Road), Hyde Newsagent (Hyde Street) and Winchester University (Student Union). Some venues have chosen to add a handling fee to tickets sold this year. Round Table volunteers will also be selling tickets on Winchester High Street on the weekends of 14th-15th, 21st-22nd, 28th-29th October and 3rd-4th November.
What’s included when purchasing a Premium Ticket?
Access to our Premium Tent, will put you right at the front of the fireworks action! Included with your tickets is an open bar stocked with soft drinks, local ales and excellent wine supplied by local wine merchants, Wine Utopia.
Can I gain access to the site with a print out of my PayPal order confirmation or if I show it to you on my phone/tablet?
No, you must have your wristband with you to get access to the site. Please ensure you collect your wristband from our ticket booth at Abbey Gardens (the park by King Alfred’s Statue on The Broadway) on Saturday 4th November 2017 between 10am and 5pm.
Is it possible to buy tickets/wristbands at the entrance to the site on the night?
No, there will be no wristband sales being made at the entrance to the site. If there are any wristbands left to buy on the evening of the event, then they will be sold by our volunteers on Winchester High Street (subject to availability).
Do you have to pay for the procession torches?
Yes, torches are sold by our volunteers on Winchester High Street on the evening of the event.
Where is the nearest place to park?
We advise you all to use public transport due to road closures on the night. However, the nearest Council car parks to the Bonfire site as quite small – the Cattle Market, St Peter’s Car Park and the Winchester Hotel Car Park on Worthy Road. If you are planning to park and walk the route of our torchlit procession, please park in the city centre multi-story car parks. Chesil Street Multi-Storey is usually the quietest, and the car park in The Brooks Shopping Centre closes at around 6.15pm.
Can I bring my own fireworks or sparklers?
No. For other people’s safety, please refrain from bringing fireworks and sparklers to the site. Fireworks and sparklers will be confiscated at our entry gates.
I have a disability, how do I access the site safely?
To guarantee access to our disabled viewing area, please arrive on site by 6:30 PM. The Disabled drop off location is via the Nuns Road site entrance.
Can I bring my dog?
No. Dogs are not permitted on site due to the loud noise of the fireworks and to ensure the safety of the public, as they are a trip hazard in the dark. Please do not bring dogs to this event.
I have loads of wood that I need to get rid of, can I drop it off on site for you to use for the bonfire?
No. We have all the wood required to build this year’s bonfire. Please do not bring wood to the site as we will be unable to use it.
I’m a trader that is interested in trading on your site, is that possible?
All traders have been booked and confirmed for this year’s event. Please email email@example.com to register your interest in the 2018 event.
