What's Happening?

5pm Winchester Rock Choir outside The Guildhall

5pm The Broadway, Winchester

In the buildup to the event, we are joined by Winchester Rock Choir on the steps of Winchester Guildhall, entertaining the crowd with some great tunes!

6pm Bonfire Procession

6pm The Broadway, Winchester

We start at King Alfred’s Statue at the bottom of Winchester, with a torchlit procession meandering through the streets of the city through to the fields behind River Park Leisure Centre.

Wax Torches and lighting up merchandising will be available from our volunteers selling from trolleys by King Alfred’s Statue.


7.15pm Lighting of the Bonfire

7.15pm, Fields behind River Park Leisure Centre

Amongst the atmospheric of 20,000 people, enjoy the lighting of the city’s biggest Bonfire, lit by the city’s Mayor and a historic cannon. With entertainment from Wave 105 Radio and Integr8 Dance.

Food will be available on-site from Peter Symonds Catering, and there is an on-site bar from Hometown Festivals.


7.45pm Fireworks Spectacular

7.45pm, Fields behind River Park Leisure Centre

The city’s annual biggest display of fireworks set to contemporary music, with a lighting display in the trees – a spectacular site for the city.

Food

A variety of hot food, drinks and sweets will be available on-site from Peter Symonds Event Catering.

On-Site Bar

Our on-site bar from Winchester Bar Services is available for the purchase of local beers and lagers.

Music

We will have music and entertainment from one of the South’s most well-known Radio Presenters, Simon Clarke, and performances from local dance group, Integr8 Dance.
