Please read the information below for travelling to and around Winchester on Saturday 9th November 2019.

  • The closest car park to the start of the procession is the Chesil Street Multi-Storey.
  • The closest car park to the Bonfire site is the Cattle Market off Andover Rd/Worthy Rd.
  • Please be aware that The Brooks car park closes at 6pm and thus is not suitable to use to attend this event.
  • The Park and Ride bus service does not run later for this event.
  • Local Kings City buses to Winchester estates run on Saturdays until after 11pm as well as buses out to Alresford/Alton (number 64) Hursley/Romsey (number 66) and to Twyford/Colden Common/Fair Oak/Bishops Waltham (number 69).
  • BlueStar Bus Service 1 between Southampton and Winchester is running extra buses to and from the event, and also runs close to the Park and Ride South Car Park.
  • Consider visiting by train – you will arrive a few minutes walk from the procession site.
  • The city centre roads are particularly busy in the build up to the event – leave plenty of time to arrive.
  • The car park at River Park Leisure Centre is closed for the afternoon and evening of the event.
  • Road closures in the city centre start at 6pm.
