The socially-distanced, at-home party & fireworks display to raise vital funds for the local charities of Winchester
We’re bringing the people of Winchester together this November and creating a fundraising event that will go off with a bang.
All profits from our events go to those in need in the city area, and post Covid-19 there are even more people in need of support. Without our usual fireworks display, we need to find innovative ways of raising money for our community fund.
So, for one year only, welcome to #LightUpWinchester!
At 7pm on Saturday 7th November, we will set off an epic fireworks display from 3 secret and private locations from across the city.
Our aim is to cover as much of Winchester in Fireworks as possible. It should be spectacular!
We invite you to watch this from your gardens, on your street and socially distanced. Whatever the weather, why not plan a celebration with your neighbours?
If you can donate to our Community Fund to make a difference to people in Winchester, please click here to see how you can do so.
At 7pm, we ask you to raise your Bonfire Torches in the air. In fact, any light.
We encourage you to get outside, show off your Bonfire Torch, even your mobile phone, and make Winchester really light up.
We will have 3 drones flying over the city, capturing street by street, Winchester at its finest. Coming together for a great cause.
Our normal city centre torchlit procession is cancelled, but lets bring the atmosphere to your own street!
We will be selling our Bonfire Torches door to door, following the routes of the Winchester Santa Sleigh. See if we’re coming down your road by clicking here, or you can buy from us in the High Street Market on Saturdays during October and November.
You’ve supported the Winchester Round Table Charity Bonfire and Fireworks for the last 61 years, and we really appreciate that.
You may not be in Winchester, or you may not be able to get out of your house. So we will bring you an online feed of everything happening in the city on the 7th November evening.
From 6pm, watch the build up, hear from our supporters, sponsors and those with tales of Bonfire night’s past.
There is no event taking place this year on our usual site, and so please do not travel to the city.
We would really appreciate any donations online that help us support those who really need it in Winchester.
Winchester Round Table is the group of guys in the city aged 18-45. We’re a social group who meet up to make friends and make a difference.
We do this through organising events such as the Winchester Charity Bonfire and Fireworks, running the Winchester Santa Sleigh, our GiveShareFeed Food Bank Drive, and supporting the community through our Community Services Fund.
We also undertake charity work where we support great causes with manpower and skills, for example lending a hand renovating spaces, at charity events and helping individuals in need.
If you’re a guy aged 18-45 locally who wants to help the local community, you are more than welcome to join us and see if its for you.
